703 8th grade students from 38 schools took part in the ICILS-2018

703 8th grade students from 38 schools in Astana city, Almaty, Atyrau, East Kazakhstan and South Kazakhstan regions took part in the ICILS-2018 Field Trial held between May 15-20, 2017.

The main aim of the Field Trial was testing the ICILS-2018 basic research toolkit.

The ICILS Player software developed by the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA) was used during the Field Trial.

In addition, teachers and school principals completed online school-based contextual questionnaires (application of ICT to the educational process, accessibility of digital educational resources, computer resources, etc.).

Following the research procedures, the Field Trial results will be processed and uploaded to the international research database.

The Field Trial of the international study, determining the level of one of the key skills of the 21st century, was conducted in schools with the direct participation of JSC "Information-Analytical Center" - ICILS national research centre in Kazakhstan.
