November 14, 2015 – “IAC” JSC organized a round table “Evaluation of parental influence on the formation of students’ functional literacy”.

”Information Analytic Center” JSC on November 14, 2015 held a round table on the results of sociological research “Evaluation of parental influence on the formation of students’ functional literacy”.

This research started in the beginning of this year aimed at determining the degree of parental involvement in successful socialization of child's personality and development of practical recommendations for strengthening cooperation between family and school. The research was arranged in a form of questionnaire survey and interview with the total number of respondents of 1,961 people.

The roundtable was attended by representatives of National academy of education named after Y.Altynsarin, regional and city education departments, as well as teaching and parental communities from regions.

Roundtable participants reviewed results of the research on assessment of home environment impact and a variety of family factors on formation of children’s functional literacy. In addition, they discussed issues of cooperation between family and school, proposed their suggestions and recommendations.
