"Information-analytical center" JSC held a meeting between representatives of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and representatives of the business environment in Kazakhstan

Astana, July 16, 2015 - "Information-analytical center" JSC held a meeting between representatives of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and representatives of the business environment in Kazakhstan. It was attended by representatives of the Department of Human Capital Development of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken", Analytical Group of the Strategic Studies and Forecasting Service under the Library of the First President of Kazakhstan - Leader of the Nation, as well as representatives of the Department of Technology Commercialization And International Cooperation of "NC STI" JSC. Representatives of the Kazakhstani side presented their activities and opportunities for cooperation in the framework of the project. During the round table, the parties discussed the current situation and the role of business community in commercialization process of scientific research in Kazakhstan, as well as business potential ready to support the national science.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed on measures for further cooperation and subsequent signing of the Memorandum on cooperation within the framework of a baseline report preparation for the OECD. 
We should remind that the OECD representatives visited Astana within the framework of the planned launching of "Innovation Policy Review of Kazakhstan" project. 
The main objectives of the project is to study Kazakhstan’s innovation policy, to review existing legislation and policy documents, to conduct independent and comparative assessment of the national innovation system, to reveal weaknesses of the current policy, to develop recommendations for public policy based on the experience of OECD countries.
