The round table on the results of 4 broad scale research within the projects “Monitoring of the population satisfaction with quality of education" and "Evaluation and analysis of educational reforms"

On 5th November 2015, the Department for Programme Monitoring hosted a roundtable devoted to the results of sociological research. The research has been pursued within the projects "Monitoring of the population satisfaction with quality of education" and "Evaluation and analysis of educational reformations".

The projects were started in 2014 and destined to solve the issues of Kazakhstani citizens’ awareness of education and science reforms, to identify problems in State program of education development (further – SPED) implementation and to get the citizens’ feedback about the initiatives in education.

The representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, the National Center of Testing, National Academy of Education named after Y. Altynsarin, JSC “Orleu”, higher education institutions, and other educational organizations, were engaged in the roundtable.

The first stage of SPED is going to be completed this year. Therefore, the citizens’ level of satisfaction with SPED implementation within last five years is the main criterion of evaluation. The research has covered more than11000 respondents in all regions of Kazakhstan.

The participants of the roundtable had an opportunity to discuss the research results and made suggestions about ways to increase the citizens’ satisfaction level. Besides, development growth of Kazakhstani education and science in Global Competitiveness Index was discussed in the roundtable.
