Assem Botayeva

Assem Botayeva, Master of Education, Manager of the International Comparative Studies Department.

Ms. Botayeva received her BA in International Relations from L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and MA in Education specializing in "History" from Eurasian Humanitarian Institute.

She wrote the diploma work for receiving BA on the theme "The role of the Caspian Region in European Union’s Foreign Policy (energy aspect)." She continued to study this topic in the Institute and wrote a paper "The Development of the Caspian Region: History and Modernity".

Currently Ms. Assem Botayeva is a manager of the Department for International Comparative Studies of JSC "Information-Analytic Center". Her main spheres for scientific research are studies in the field of the quality of education, education policy, the development of students’ functional literacy. She is the coordinator of PISA project in Kazakhstan.

Before joining the IAC, Ms. Botayeva was an English teacher in a private school. She was a coordinator and a team member for organization of the IV Astana Economic Forum, a volunteer during the VII World Islamic Economic Forum.

She has been involving in PISA project from 2014.
