On September 6, 2017, the Republic of Kazakhstan joined the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development Committee for Scientific and Technological Policy (OECD CSTP) in the status of “Participant”. Membership in the OECD CSTP is a testament to the country’s recognition as an essential strategic partner that can take part in setting priorities and standards for future development. The status of the “Participant” of the CSTP assumes active participation of the country in meetings, working groups and projects of the committee, as well as compliance with the legal instruments and principles to which Kazakhstan has joined.
