Summary of the National Report on the state and development of the education system of the Republic of Kazakhstan
According to the OECD evaluation, an annual development of the National Report on the State and Development of the Education System of the Republic of Kazakhstan demonstrates the priority of transparency and accountability in the country’s governance system. Currently over a half of the countries worldwide publish monitoring reports in education with the analysis of their progress in implementation of state plans and programmes. According to the latest data from UNESCO, Kazakhstan is among the countries that publish national reports on an annual basis.
The National Report on the State and Development of the Education System of the Republic of Kazakhstan includes official statistics from the National Education Database and the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan, information provided by central and local executive bodies, data from international comparative studies, as well as the survey’s results conducted among education stakeholders. Each chapter presents an analysis in the relevant areas with a focus on the impact of the pandemic. The National Report also examines the challenges to the education system and proposes policy responses to address them.
